Since it was founded in 1975, Dominion Shipping Agency (Egypt) has acquired an outstanding reputation amongst owners and charterers worldwide. With offices in most key shipping or commercial centers, Dominion (Egypt) is particularly active where it has a presence in the Suez Canal Zone and all Egyptian ports.
The success of Dominion’s Agency and Representation services is the result of many factors, but one of the most important is the personal dedication of key members of its multilingual staff. In a business characterized by round-the-clock global operations, they all believe that their effectiveness depends on a readiness to go beyond the call of duty. Combining this with an exhaustive knowledge of local conditions and culture, and business relationships built on proven trust, they are well suited to overcome almost any problem.
The Suez Canal
A special note is warranted on Dominion’s operation in Egypt since both the Suez Canal and Egyptian ports are subject to certain local constraints which the Group, with almost 40,000 transits to it name, is exceptionally well placed to overcome.
For the special conditions applicable in the Suez Canal, these services are combined with a proven toll payment system, all of which add up to Dominion’s Supervisory Support and Transit Arrangement Service.
Dominion (Egypt) can provide comprehensive, integrated and high quality services tailored to the unique characteristics of operations through the Suez Canal. There are fully staffed associated offices at both ends of the Canal, Cairo’s International Airport, Alexandria, Damietta and Red Sea ports.
Dominion’s Technical Department is led by a team of highly qualified, experienced consulting engineers, operating at both ends of the canal. They have been officially nominated by a number of classification societies to carry out surveys and issue reports and certificates in Egypt, the Suez Canal Zone and the Red Sea Ports.
Spare Parts and Crew Changes
Dominion (Egypt) is the only agent in Egypt with a license since 1975 to clear and expedite spare parts and parcels and crew changes through all Egyptian ports. It has an office at Heliopolis adjacent to Cairo Airport and a warehouse at both Port Said and Suez, which act in unison with its Suez and Port Said offices to ensure packages reach their destination at either end of the Canal on Schedule. Dominion is also ideally placed to facilitate crew arrivals and departures.
